My favorites cont....

I've gotta tell ya...I'm feeling better than I have in a long time. I really think it has to do with cutting WAY back on my wheat and dairy consumption and adding a few new supplements. I don't remember the last time I've felt this amount of energy since having kids. It's quite refreshing!
Something else I added to my daily regime is Borage Oil. It's super high in GLA, which is what Evening Primrose has as well. Borage Oil just has a higher concentration of it. I initially bought it because it actually helps you burn fat and since I'm nursing, I'm really limited on what I can take that has fat burning properties. Ann Louis Gittleman talks a lot about GLA in her Fat Flush book (which I 100% endorse..she's amazing!). She say it helps you burn the fat that seems to stick no matter what you do. I honestly didn't know up till then that GLA did this. I knew of it's amazing benefits for the skin and that it helps those with PMS. This was the kicker for me. I love products that do several beneficial things and not just one. I ordered the NSI brand, but their are several great brands out there.
This last order, I made it a point to get something for stress. I really want to try L-Theanine or Gaba, but those are really too strong since I'm still breastfeeding. So I decided to order some Holy Basil. I have a whole blog post on Holy Basil if you'd like to know more about it. I've been drinking the tea for a while and decided to give the pills a try. I'm glad I did because I definitely feel more relaxed. I bought the Source Naturals brand because the price was amazing...although I know lots of people who have used the Enzymatic Therapy brand and rave about how amazing it is. I'll probably get it next time.

L-Theanine and Gaba work great for stress and anxiety. I'd get Theanine Serene by Source Naturals. You can order it through Vitacost.com which is where I order all my stuff.

Random question,

What is the best fiber for constipation? I have allergies to gluten and dairy and I am trying to balance my diet out but having a hard time figuring out what I should eat everyday. I know I am not getting enough fiber. And just wanted to know what you would recommend for a daily fiber supplement.

Rebekah, I personally like Flax Seeds for fiber. You can grind them yourself in a coffee grinder. They work better for sweeping the colon if they're not ground too fine. Just a few pulses will do:)
